Faizan Habib

Faizan Habib is the Director of the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) Office of Public-Private Partnerships (P3 Office), a role he has held since March 2023, after serving as a Program Manager within the office. With nearly 20 years of extensive experience in the P3 sector, Mr. Habib leads a dedicated team focused on the development, procurement, and oversight of large-scale transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. His expertise encompasses project planning, procurement, and the negotiation of Design-Build (DB) and Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) projects, as well as long-term contract oversight.

Prior to his tenure at VDOT, Mr. Habib gained over a decade of experience in the private sector, specializing in strategic planning and infrastructure advisory for multi-billion dollar public projects. His portfolio includes the oversight of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, as well as the revitalization of distressed assets. He has also acted as an infrastructure advisor to multiple local governments and nonprofit organizations.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Habib is actively engaged in his community, currently serving on the Chesterfield Economic Development Authority and the Lower Magnolia Green Community Development Authority. He also served on the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee for Chesterfield County Public Schools until June 2024.
